The project is part of the Incredible Edible Network. The aim is to plant edibles – food, around the village for anybody to pick. The intended start date was March/April 2020 but obviously the current situation has delayed the majority of the activity. However, we did get the first four espalier fruit trees planted by the wall behind the sheep roast. We have also planted up a herb trough at the bottom of Hawkhill Road and the two troughs by the Sheep Roast. There are plans for more troughs and if you have space fro wooden troughs in front of your house, you will be very welcome to join in and help the village become awash with edibles.
There is more to do when we are able. If you would like to be involved in any way please email us.
